Week Threeeeee!

It's vacation week! We headed out on our journey first to New Mexico, followed by Arizona.
We left our home around 4am on Saturday and arrived in Albuquerque that evening. It was quite the long drive, but that amazing hubs of mine did it all!

And Spike was such a trooper in the car with us. He saved my sanity, many, many times!

The evening in the ABQ was spent at our hotel room. We invited the girls bio-family (Aunt & Grandparents) to the hotel to surprise the girls and they took them for the evening. Hubs and I were so exhausted from the drive that we just ordered food to go and hung out in our hotel room.

(I just realized that I did not take any pictures of the events that took place in NM)

Anyways, the girls spent the next morning with the bio's, and had a great time. They had dinner out, a fun sleep over, went to the movies, and had ice cream!  Later, we drove south to LL so the girls could spend time with their foster family. The time spent there was really great. We had dinner and the girls played in the sprinklers with the families current foster children and other younger family members. We had some yummy water melon too! (Spike loved it)
The day ended with playing kickball in their front yard. We got back on the road that evening and drove to southern Arizona to spend the rest of our vacation in Sierra Vista with Sean's mom and sister.

We have had a few days of swimming, a visit with my best friend, an Uno learning session, a few meals out, and a farmers  market morning. Of course we have also had a few of the not-so-good things as well. Samantha has had bursts of angry tantrums which have involved fowl language. She has spent a couple of her mornings writing a pageful of sentences before any fun has happened. Makayla has surprisingly been wonderful! It has been a great sight to see.

Tomorrow is the 4th of July! We have an evening planned of fireworks. We hope the girls don't spark up some fireworks of their own.

I will finish the week out in another post.
